Twitter has this convention called Follow Fridays where people post links to other Twitter users they think are worth following. So here’s a few other RPG blogs you might be interested in if you don’t already know about them.
I have limited this list to blogs that have been founded relatively recently. I also added a short note explaining the first thing that comes to mind when I think about the blog (not intended to pigeonhole anyone).
- Built by Gods Long Forgotten – awesome creative tables in pretty PDFs
- Dungeon Fantastic – GURPS Dungeon Fantasy & classic dungeon design
- From Beyond the Drowning Woods – detailing a weird fantasy setting
- Giant Evil Wizard – old school creations
- Howling Tower – Steve Winter (an organizer of 2E) on D&D game design
- Lost in Time – beautiful maps, creative rules analysis
- Tales of the Grotesque and the Dungeonesque – interesting creations
- Tartarus Press – player from 2E investigating the OSR
- The Aspiring Lich – interesting rules discussion
- Underworld Cleaning Service – new classes, comparisons of old school rule sets
Cheers, sir! I rolled a 2 (I’d have rolled again if I’d rolled a 6) and thought, “GURPS? Really?” but then I went and had a look and it was all good. I’ll investigate the others anon.
@ClawCarver
I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Peter’s blog is consistently insightful, even if I don’t understand the bits of GURPS rules that creep in (one of these days I’ll get around to reading the GURPS Lite document he pointed me towards).
